Christmas and new years

We had a great holiday break.
Christmas we went to Michael's parents. My nephew was sick, so the girls were the only kids there, but Auntie M was back from BYU Idaho, and that made Christmas so much fun. Santa brought a glo-e bear to Hailey and a My Little Pony teapot house to Ansley. They both got Scooby doo figurines as well as a few other gifts from mom and dad. After all the gifts were opened and Christmas breakfast was finished, Auntie M and Hailey and Ansley painted toe nails and the grown ups got to relax.
New Years Eve, we turned the clocks back a few hours so we could celebrate midnight at 9pm with the girls. We had gone to party City earlier that day and bought fun hats and noise makers. We also got donuts as part of a new tradition Michael started last year (no black eyed peas for us). We counted down, had a parade of noise makers through the house, and attacked each other with silly string. The girls just loved it.

Sounds like fun! I hope that the donuts do the trick as far as luck is concerned!!! :) They sure are a little more tasty!

I loved hearing about your new New Years traditions! I remember when we used to turn up the clock and ring in the new year by banging with spoons on our pots and pans! Silly string sounds like tons of fun, too!
