Ansley is growing so fast. It seems just yesterday that her movements were contained to a blanket on the floor and her sounds were only vowels. Now she is walking like a pro (unless she wears shoes, then she won't even stand up), and saying so many words. Of course, they require translation from Ansley-talk into English. But we know what she wants, and it is heaven to understand her finally.
Her first word was "og" for dog in September. Then in October she learned "here-you-go" and "tank-oo" (thank you). In November, she pointed to her cup and said "dink" and points at everything else and says "dis" (this, I think). SHe points in a direction and tells us to "go." She also points to her mouth when she's hungry, which is very helpful. And maybe I'm imagining it, but sometimes her seemingly random head nods and shakes correspond to a question I ask her.
She can point to her belly and toes, although she prefers daddy's belly and mommy's toes to her own. She'll even pull up daddy's shirt over and over again to see his belly and stick her finger in his big belly button.
